Tamara Yang — From a Cluttered Mind to Total Peace

Tamara describes her mind before meditation like a compulsive hoarder’s house — filled with junk she did not even know she was carrying. After practicing the subtraction method, she found a peace so deep that her mind now feels like a beautiful, organized home. Hear her journey from a stressed, anxious twenty-something in Boston to someone who sees the world as genuinely beautiful.

There white my name is tamara and I’m 27 years old and I uh grew up in boston massachusetts um and recently moved out to Los Angeles I I went to the seminar just you know not really expecting much uh but they had a lot of people give testimonials about how this had changed their lives and they were so so happy um after doing it and so.

Grateful so I said okay you know I’m going to I’m going to give it a try the mind that I had before was like a dirty house like I was like a compulsive hoarder or something you know but I didn’t know it at the time I just didn’t have any idea that I had been kind of holding on to all of this junk really.

After meditating you know now I have like a beautiful home with like you know organized furniture everything’s dusted in vacuum the dishes are washed the laundry is done and it’s just so peaceful to be inside you know that’s how I feel really in my mind it’s just so peaceful to be inside now oh it’s like day and night it’s like day.

Night um I think before I I I I see myself so so much more now that I was so trapped really in my mind world right and like in the beginning I was told oh you’ve been living in your mind world your whole life um.

I had no idea what that meant I was kind of like of course I’ve been living in my mind world I mean who’s who else’s mind would I be living in other than my own you know and um it wasn’t really until I I passed you know level six and I. really saw oh like I understand I’ve been living in my mind and just been so.

Trapped you know um so it was it was just quite an experience to see how much change truly I was able to you know to go from you know being just caught up and stressed and um always you know with thoughts racing around my head to a place of just pure like just peace you know not not really having any worries not having you know all.

Anxieties uh dayto day the happiness comes from being free really from from not constantly being stuck in like the rat race in your mind you know it’s like being able to let go of things being able to say okay well I you know that could have been done better but I’m going to move on now right and that’s really where happiness to me comes from.

If you understand that the reason why you’re not happy is because of yourself in a way right then at least to go off of that that you have an inkling of an idea that you need to change then meditation you know that is that’s where the power comes in because if you yourself have that motivation to know that you want to change then.

You can really do a lot you know you can really really subtract a lot and and really be stress free from this if you follow the method which is to me the most beautiful method I have ever seen you know in my life if you follow the method and you just keep at it and you don’t give up you’ll see the benefits you’ll see the changes.

People around you will see the changes and it’s just the world becomes so beautiful when when you do make that make that effort so yeah I think that’s I think that’s good yeah okay thank you.
